# Item Tiers

All custom items in Nodenia have an associated item tier. The tiers are established to help players estimate their value, rarity and general usefulness.

### Tier List

\*\*\*\*![Common](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4129c0a12fd25ba849e8c357a35d9ce5864f4fb1%2Fcommon.png?alt=media)**:** These items are found all over Nodenia. They are considered to be ordinary in both power and value.

\*\*\*\*![Uncommon](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ced218392d9e9d300a20e484e06edd9d4dc9ac31%2Funcommon.png?alt=media)**:** These items are found almost anywhere Nodenia. They are generally not very valuable but can be a bit more powerful than Common items.

\*\*\*\*![Rare](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c7ed8a135974c02e493e3fe9ed842258c6d730de%2Frare.png?alt=media)**:** These items are a bit harder to find, generally requiring more effort/luck to be found in Nodenia. The are usually pretty powerful and their value can vary drastically depending on personal preference.

\*\*\*\*![Epic](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a546e8901792af94afecd358b8780a762d4ad31c%2Fepic.png?alt=media)**:**

\*\*\*\*![](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4d1b992abce2d730fba0ea12651acd9fd6d2b967%2Fevent.png?alt=media)**:** These items are considered some of the most unique in Nodenia. \*\*\*\*![Legendary](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c9f6795ab432a0e63728ab4c793a1d0d57ee9577%2Flegendary.png?alt=media)**:**

\*\*\*\*![Mythical](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-b055bef5a20d2024cc08139b84b702a7dd40a661%2Fmythical.png?alt=media)**:** Historians in Nodenia are not confident items of this tier even exist. Rumors about them suggest that if you ever wish to encounter one, you need to participate in the highest caliber of activities. These items are considered priceless due to their rarity.

# Chest Shops

Create your own shops to sell items from chests

To create a Chest Shop:

1. Place a sign on a chest (hold shift/sneak to place the sign without opening the chest.
2. Leave the first line blank.
3. On the second line, enter the quantity/amount you would like to buy/sell at a time
4. On the third line you will enter how much money you want to buy and/or sell an item for.\
   To Buy an item for $10 for example you will type `B 10`. To Sell an item for $5 you would type `S 5`. To both buy and sell items from the same Chest Shop, add a `:` between the two, as shown in the example below.\
   \
   **Note**: Buy and Sell are from the Chest's perspective. So Sell means the Shop will Sell the item to the player for the specified amount, and Buy means you will buy the item from other players.
5. On the last line of the sign, type a `?`. Press Done.
6. For the final step, **right click on the sign with the item** you want to sell. This will replace the `?` with the item ID of the item on the sign, and your shop will begin accepting transactions!\
   \
   When a player right clicks a shop, they will buy an item from your shop. When a player left clicks a shop, they will sell an item to your shop.

## Example:&#x20;

This example will show you how to sell a single Revive for $5 and buy them for $10 each

![](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2F8Ix5gMxRrvcQBXyZWGzV%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=ef850d68-ad02-4431-a0ce-866ac3a88fd0)

After right clicking on the sign above with a Revive in my hand, the chest shop will change appearance to show that it is working:

# Base Pixelmon Changes

Any changes we've made that modify base Pixelmon mechanics will be listed here so you know what to expect!

### External Damage

Pokémon will not take damage from external sources such as suffocating, drowning, lava, fire, or any other source of damage other than being in-battle (or falling into the void). We have done this so that you will not run into situations for example where a Legendary Pokémon that spawned near you ends up wandering into the ocean and drowning before you have a chance to catch it, or a Pokémon spawns in a cave and runs into a lava pool.

### Pokédex

Owned Pokémon will only count towards your Pokédex if you are the Original Trainer ("OT"). This means that Pokémon obtained via trading will not count towards your Pokédex completion percentage.

## Raids

The generation of base Pixelmon Raid Dens has been disabled; you will not encounter raid dens in the wild. Our own implementation of Raids will be coming in a future content update.

# Daycare/Breeding

Important information regarding Breeding on TheNodeMC

Most info you may require regarding breeding can be found on the [Pixelmon Wiki](https://pixelmonmod.com/wiki/Breeding).\
\
Notable changes from the above:

### Hidden Abilities

* Hidden Abilities will not pass down to an egg unless the breeder is the OT of both parent Pokémon.

### Daycare Requirements

* Requirements will dynamically change based on the total IV percentage of the parent Pokémon you put into a Daycare box, so they will become harder to breed as they increase in power. In some cases this may mean requirements being added to the original set, such as [Type Gems](https://pixelmonmod.com/wiki/Gems)!
  * In addition to normal drops, you can also get Type Gems from [Gem Bags](/custom-items/caches)

# Pokémon Tiers

For the purposes of pricing and rarities, we have sorted existing Pokémon into tiers as listed below.

Please note that this list is not final, and Pokémon can be re-assigned to another tier at any time based on staff discretion.

# Move Tutor Terminal

Teach your Pokémon new moves using Type Essence at The Lab!

The Move Tutor is available at `/warp lab` and uses Type Essence as a currency.

**Type Essence** is obtained by completing Bounties obtained from Professor Watters.&#x20;

### Obtaining Bounties

Bounties come in 4 different tiers; **Poor**, **Good**, **Excellent**, or **Pristine**. Each tier is increasingly more difficult, however gives a proportionate amount of Type Essence- This also means the better ones are more expensive to purchase.

![](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FMmr7UJGwlW2TlHJe38Gn%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=edd1de1f-ae09-4d26-b479-13924e3a5fbc)

After purchasing a bounty, you should *equip the Essence Jar in your offhand* as this is the only way to begin filling it.

### Completing a Bounty

Bounties give you a limited amount of time (1 hour) to catch a certain amount of Pokémon that match the Type of bounty you purchased. You can see how much time you have remaining on your bounty at the top of your screen:

![](https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FGXlJQ8aRfa9MPzHIR7bz%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=67901800-dcf0-4313-910a-1c92b8f6bc26)

### Turning in a Completed Bounty

Once you have successfully filled your jar to 100%, you can turn it in at `/warp lab` by right clicking on the Essence Jar Exchange with the filled jar in your hand to retrieve the Type Essence inside.

Now you can spend it on any move you'd like at the **Move Tutor Terminal**!

# Claiming 101: The Basics

Protect your builds from pesky griefers and thieves!

> A Guide written by **DartPokeMM**

So you want to know how to claim your stuff and protect it from those pesky griefers? Don't worry, GriefDefender will stop them dead in their tracks! How do you get started? Well, find where/what you want to protect!

## Creating a Claim

1. Take a **Golden Shovel** - You should get one automatically when you join, but if you lost it you can craft one or get one from another player. Then, we **right-click the ground** with it. This will set the first corner of your claim. The Diamond Block will indicate such:

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FrL0bfgweFkD18sYR9cdd%2F2021-01-30_18.44.08.png?alt=media&amp;token=1d6fec65-a844-4494-a2f8-c242254f9e9f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Now, move to the farthest corner of what you want to claim. When you get there, **right-click the ground again**, and an outline of what you claimed will now show up in gold with glowstone corners:

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2F9ZmdqnfcasTYZFDIHPZz%2F2021-01-30_18.44.19.png?alt=media&amp;token=ef31d4fa-e0ef-4089-ae54-5ad2fbdfab9d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Your area is now protected! But what if you want to expand your claim, or want to see what other people have claimedd? That's easy too!

## Inspecting Claims

To inspect a claim, use a stick (any stick will do!) and right-click a block. If nothing shows up, it's not claimed. However, if the gold and glowstone border pops up, it's claimed!&#x20;

## Expanding a Claim

If you want to expand your claim, first inspect it using a stick to make the borders visible, then right-click on a corner and move it to any other spot. Easy as that!

## Deleting/Removing a Claim

And if you want to get rid of your claim, the easiest way is to stand inside the borders of your claim and type `/abandonclaim`. Then, you will get a prompt to confirm - so click the green confirm button, and ta-da! You got your claim blocks back.

If you have any further questions - or worse yet, problems - contact staff! We're always ready and willing to help! Feel comfortable and ready for the next steps? Check out the next guide: [Claiming 102: Towns and Subclaims!](/guides/claiming-102-towns-and-subclaims)

# Claiming 102: Towns and Subclaims

Become a Lord or Lady and manage, rent, or sell claims within claims!

> A Guide written by **DartPokeMM**

Survived [Claiming 101](/guides/claiming-101-the-basics)? Congratulations! Now, we will discuss Town Claims and Subdivisions - claims within claims. Things can be a bit complicated, so don't be afraid if you have to wipe the claim and start over - sometimes, it's necessary or just plain easier to start from scratch. This will be a lengthy guide, as it covers a more in-depth part of the claiming system, and as such it will be split into two sections, so strap in!

## Section 1: Claims, 102

Today, we will protect this lonely Poppy.

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FzOKV6dLAaZWJU1Q2MiZF%2F2021-08-28_21.48.20.png?alt=media&amp;token=b3003bd6-f6ac-4ce1-8f2e-efe00e560737" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

However, we're not going to just protect it, we're going to move in a family of dandelions! We'll create a Town claim, so that we can split up permissions. between the layers. A Town claim can hold Basic and Subdivided claims, and a Basic claim can hold even more Subdivided claims. First, we will want to use `/townclaims` or `/modetown` while holding our shovel to change the mode our shovel claims in. Then we just claim like normal, although we also have to spend an initial town creation fee of $5,000, and the claim must be at least 32x32 blocks. Once claimed, your Town claim should show up with an Emerald Block boundary, like this:

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fb0O4dM8evqGuInakiSwp%2F2021-08-28_21.57.15.png?alt=media&amp;token=425dcb12-e911-42a7-9bbf-272181ec822a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Note: You can only ever create 1 Town claim, and you cannot convert an existing Basic or Subdivided claim into a Town claim.

Now, we can leave the Town claiming mode with `/basicclaims` or `/modebasic`, which will put us in the normal claiming mode. I will claim all the flowers, so that they have their own space within the Town. Permissions for players can be edited separate from the Town claim, so a player can be trusted inside a Basic claim, and not in the Town Claim. This lets you have buildings that have their own claims within their town claims, among other creative uses such as "public use" buildings, like a PokeCenter!

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FVDzd5Pk1Jg7lLi0dvWC3%2F2021-08-28_21.59.45.png?alt=media&amp;token=7fa88d59-b81d-4254-a532-bd62c330663e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now, I will subdivide the Poppy so that it has its own protected block, with its own, unique permissions. First we ender subdivision mode with `/subdivideclaims` or `/modesubdivide`. It will have a border of Iron blocks and wool, to help you differentiate between the other kinds of claims.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2F3hSeZ9ZkQo8kwVU0f1mi%2F2021-08-28_22.02.00.png?alt=media&amp;token=dc6dc3b3-1f19-4f7d-ba24-1fa471cf46bc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now, we can trust people in the Town, like I have done here; I trusted all the Owners to build and destroy within my claim (If you want to see this menu, I will describe it towards the end!).

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2F8wwybP1f0wv8MkHE8Gye%2F2021-08-28_22.07.28.png?alt=media&amp;token=fe564054-5cd7-4793-a578-cfa4bce87f98" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

However, if we step inside the Basic claim, we can see that only the Manager is permitted to build and destroy within the claim!

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2Fi6D57dLZHco9Yrbb6G7E%2F2021-08-28_22.09.49.png?alt=media&amp;token=88b6ca89-84c3-46bb-802b-91a853899cf8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

And if you didn't see the pattern, if we share the block with the Poppy in its Subdivided claim to see who has permission to build and destroy, we can see it is the two current Admins!&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FJtrwIQOkrVfdT6ADlMI6%2F2021-08-28_22.11.03.png?alt=media&amp;token=bfc331ab-6a00-4c79-8031-442b5629e3e4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Section 2: Advanced Claim Management

So you're looking to modify how people interact with your claims on a deeper level? No problem! GriefDefender makes it a bit easier through the use of this command and it's chat interface; `/claiminfo` (while standing inside your claim). As we can see in this screenshot, it brings up a menu in chat describing the claim we're standing in:

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FR4BmrGShDdIoEXtU9zLQ%2F2021-08-28_22.17.43.png?alt=media&amp;token=2e21934e-c2dc-4055-b30b-4f14fa5257f8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

(Enlarged to show chat menu better) You can use your mouse to click on the menu. For example, we can click any of the permission groups (Accessors, Builders, Containers, Managers, which we will discuss soon) and it will change out UI in chat to show who is in that group.

Like shown before, the Owners are all trusted as Builders in the Town claim. If we click the X to any of their names, they will be removed from the Builders permissions group. `/trust` will default to adding people to the Builders group. To manually trust people to other groups, you can either click the group name in `/claiminfo` and click the + that shows up towards the top, which will prompt us with this;&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2F1poN3g4SkerwfnHm0Uw0%2F1630204031813.png?alt=media&amp;token=7ebd1e37-e03f-436e-b958-1d5ce6a5e3d1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

For our purposes, we will only worry about clicking Player, as I haven't found a practical and/or safe use for Group. It will prompt us with "player " in chat. Clear out the "" and instead type a username - exactly as it appears, case sensitive - then hit enter. Now that person should show up in the claim's list for that permission group!

<figure><img src="https://1706279676-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZ8Jre23udEvTuYPnU1EF%2Fuploads%2FySYPJKeFcrOAnoM94Fjj%2F2021-08-28_22.30.10.png?alt=media&amp;token=51acaccb-0417-4fba-8faf-1ca5492fd533" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

(In this image, I removed Mike's name from the Builders list, and am about to add him back) What's important is that each claim has it's own, unique set of permissions that you must grant to people. Furthermore, if you trust someone in a Town claim, they can do things in a Subdivided claim that's within the Town claim.
